When Your Samsung Galaxy Phone Will Get Android 15-Based One UI 7

Samsung Galaxy fans have been waiting for the grand One UI 7 update based on Android 15. While Google and other companies have already started rolling out the new OS, Samsung, which is one of the biggest players in the Android space, is a step behind.

Samsung’s update journey has not been without issues this year. Samsung first kicked off the One UI 7 beta program in late 2024. After some delays, Samsung is now looking to roll out a stable update from April 2025. This is what we currently know about the timeline so far and what you can expect.  https://news.samsung.com/

One UI 7 beta rollout timeline:

Early beta release: The One UI 7 beta process began on December 5, 2024, for the Galaxy S24 series (S24, S24+, S24 Ultra) in specific regions, i.e., the US, UK, Germany, South Korea, Poland, and India. This was the first wave, made available to eligible individuals through the Samsung Members application.

Beta expansion (March 2025): Samsung officially extended the beta program to other devices on March 5, 2025. The Galaxy Z Fold 6, Z Flip 6, Tab S10, and Galaxy S23 line were added to the beta in nations like India, Korea, the UK, and the US, starting that week.  https://www.sammobile.com/

Regular beta updates

The Samsubg Galaxy S24 series has been given six beta builds. The Galaxy S23, TAB S10, FOLD 6, and FLIP 6 have each received two beta builds so far.

One UI 7 Stable Rollout Timeline

Early Stable Release: The stable One UI 7 was first released on January 22, 2025, with the Galaxy S25 series option (S25, S25+, S25 Ultra), which was announced during the Galaxy Unpacked event. All devices came preloaded with One UI 7, and that’s when the official launch happened.

Stable Rollout Begins: Samsung officially announced that the stable One UI 7 rollout for currently available devices will begin on April 7, 2025.

First Wave (April 2025): The Galaxy S24 series should be the first to have a stable update on April 10, 2025. The Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 will receive the update soon after April 10.

• April 17: Galaxy S24 Fe, S23 series, Z Fold5, Z Flip5
• Late April: Galaxy S23 Fe, S22 series (with simultaneous Z Fold5/Z Flip5 launch)
• Mid-April: Galaxy Tab S10
• Late April: Galaxy Tab S9
• Late April: Galaxy Tab S8
• May: Other tablets

With beta testing concluding and stable rollout beginning in April 2025, Samsung’s massive Android 15 update is designed to deliver a smoother, revitalized experience to tens of millions of devices. While the delay has left Samsung behind the likes of Google, the extra time could translate to a smoother, more feature-rich One UI 7.
