Future Generation Of Smartphone

Smartphones, a device that is no longer a strange thing for most people as it has gradually entered people’s everyday lives. Smartphones are mobile phones with computer capabilities and internet searching, the only difference may be the size and its mobility. In another word, it has become a source of entertainment, a communication tool, a search engine and much more.

Technological breakthrough

The phone, of course, would indicate that a cell phone can be anything beyond a cell phone. It will provide every other important business function, such as web browsing, multimedia entertainment, games, etc. – like as small/mini-computers but small enough and best to fit in your pocket. It has been more than a decade of experience that smartphones have made a place in the market as an alternative to what has served in mobile phones, which are used only for two-way communication, whether through text messages Or through call. Modern smartphones have now become much larger than their predecessors as they have camera lenses inside built in high-end applications that help in productive video streaming and maintaining connectivity, thus connecting millions of people on the go. Are. And customers have a lot of demands and expectations in technologies in the near future. One of them could be Augmented Reality. ‘Augmented Reality’ or AR means combining what we experience through our senses (usually vision) with the use of computer generated sensory inputs such as sound, video, images and GPS data becomes stronger through.

AR provides more information by combining data properties of the machine with what is observed in reality, for example one can use an application to place a camera on a phone so that one can pinpoint where it resides. Users can bend the smartphone in every way they want. are, the way they want. And all thanks to organic light-emitting diode technology: the screen can be folded and unfolded. One of these days, a virtually paper-thin screen may have the ability to store images from your future smart phone, and then project the image or video onto the glass for a friend sitting across from the screen. , while it can be controlled from the other side. Merging 3D and Holograms Strangely, the idea of merging 3D and holograms seems to be a really great concept for movie lovers who watch their movies on their mobile phones (Michael Poh 2012).

Challenges

Therefore, it is no surprise that the biggest problem facing most mobile operators in the world today is the tremendous increase in demand for more and higher capacity. In fact, all of these wireless devices are producing data at a rate that puts a tremendous strain on the network. In fact, the same problems – slow access to the Internet, delays in downloading or interruptions in streaming – are still found today with the 3G feature now found in so many smartphones. Of course, 3G is far better than the old 2G, but what mobile operators should do is find new ways to increase efficiency in network architecture. Needless to say, all these magical technological marvels are packed into those mobile phones – they are as powerful as they are packed with different options. But if battery life remains an unsolved mystery, especially when using 4G or any heavy applications, what does it mean?

Recently fragmentation has become another challenge facing developers of applications. This makes it very difficult for mobile application and game developers to develop a product that works on all types of mobile devices. There are lots of operating systems, and each of them has its own requirements and policies. Furthermore, the main issue for mobile operators is security issues. Now, it is very easy to hack a smartphone. Even the IOS operating system, which is more famous for its defense mechanisms than any other, can be hacked and jailbroken within a day. Other Android, “Too much open-users may lose their precious data that they store in their phone.” In many ways, hackers obtain and publish personal data from multiple users through the use of a “benign” application. And to make matters worse, most people have been drawn to conducting online payment transactions using mobile payment applications.

Shifting in Potential Markets

Apple recently opened 5 stores in China, which is the first step towards the company’s plan to add 40 retail stores across the country by 2016 (Colt 2015). It seems to be working so far. China has already overtaken Europe and will soon become the second largest market after the US. Thus, this proves that the potential markets for smartphones are changing.

For the past few years, the US and Europe have been the largest markets for most producers. However, recently, smartphone manufacturing firms have shifted their focus towards the continents of Africa and Asia. The revenue that Apple made in China for the fourth quarter increased from $5.7 billion to $12.5 billion thus accounting for a difference of 99% (Pressman, 2015). Breaking this record of manufacturing 10 million a year ago, the company has now been able to sell 13 million IPhone 6s in its opening weekend. At this pace, very soon the world’s largest country will become the most important market for the world’s largest company. Along with China, there are several Asian countries that are considered potential markets. As can be seen, take Vietnam for example: “Vietnam has become the most aggressive smartphone market in Southeast Asia, with sales currently totaling $8 billion for the first half of 2015. According to a research conducted in the market A total of 39.8 million devices have been sold so far, making it the third largest market in terms of area behind Thailand with 13% growth and the Philippines with 16% growth.” Recently, Samsung and LG have decided to set up their factories in Vietnam.

The company has invested more than $15 billion in Vietnam. According to the head of Samsung Electronics, “Vietnam is a dynamic market, where the young population is always ready to receive new trends in technology, which is a promising market for the introduction of this new technology.” The same will happen in Africa, and by 2019, feature phones will account for 27% of the African mobile market, with the smartphone market priced below US$100 per unit continuing to grow. A report by consulting firm Global Technology reported that IDC had estimated the following shipments of smartphones in the Middle East and Africa regions; It is now estimated to reach 155 million units by the end of 2015 and an increase of 66% in the first quarter of 2015 (Sibusiso Tshabalala 2015).

Research Analysis

This was a kind of quantitative research that was conducted with the aim of discovering more specific information related to the popularity of smartphone brands and the satisfaction of certain customers. These respondents answer through an online website that hosts the online questionnaire. The questionnaire was uploaded to a group of international students studying in Kokkola, Finland. The results were collected using the same method and then analyzed. The questionnaire was created by Google Forms. The questions were prepared in English as the main target was a group of international students. Questions were posted on Google Forms on November 9, 2015. The result was achieved within just 2 days. There are a total of 11 questions in the questionnaire and all of them are multiple choice. Since all these questions are such that anyone can easily understand the questions, it takes less than 3 minutes for the respondents to answer the entire survey. However, with concern to the flow of questions, it can be seen that this questionnaire contains questions related to gender and age group. More in-depth questions include what actually determines the reason for choosing a smartphone to use, and whether the respondent is satisfied with it.

Survey Results and Analysis

20 people participated in the survey. 16 women, 4 men. Most of them are in the 18-24 age group; Only one was in the 31-35 age group. This is very natural, as the survey was uploaded to a group of international students. And, as we might expect, all of them have at least one smartphone.
Price and affordability of apps are clearly the most practical reasons for a student to choose a smartphone. This is quite simple given the reason that all the respondents are students and most of them run their living expenses from their parents, so buying expensive smartphones is not a viable option for many of them. Moreover, smartphones are also a means of entertainment as most of the people use smartphones to play games and use many applications to fulfill their needs. As I mentioned above, larger screen size is the latest fad in the world’s smartphone industry, so it’s not surprising that 15% of people say this is the main reason they would consider buying a smartphone, and battery life is equally important. Is. Interestingly, Brand and Operating System are not popular choices as 2 people have voted for both of them. Display size is at the bottom of the group. Out of 20 students, one respondent chose other and he said that mail service is his main factor.

Conclusion

It is one of the most intense in the world, and also has the most fierce competition between brands and companies. This research article  attempts to give readers an in-depth look at the smartphone wars, so that they can understand and learn from the strategies that each company has chosen to have their say on the entire development process. This history begins with an account of how the first mobile phone was invented and who did it, what changes it had to undergo to reach the stage where it would be called a smartphone – all this information is given in the first chapter.  And before getting to know the modern look of the smartphone, the first generation is presented in all its details. The third chapter is perhaps the most important because here it develops strategies and compares and analyzes strategies to develop the popularity of brands among users. The fourth chapter introduces the audience to some of the market segments. The final chapter is about the future generation of smartphones. Last but not least, a group survey was conducted among international students.

To further test the results, information is collected about the brand’s popularity as well as customer satisfaction levels. As mentioned in the previous chapter, it is concluded that based on the present time, Apple has been considered as the most popular brand in the world. And then here in this survey, it can also be proved that Apple is one of the most popular brands in the world. But satisfying more users of Android about its products, it also means that IOS has its number one rival. And while the figures converting to iOS appear to be larger than the shift to Android. Other mobile brands will now be in a position to revolutionize the smartphone market, but undoubtedly, it will be a tough and long journey.
