The innovation in mobile technology had brought 5G wireless technology which stands for fifth generation. 5G technology will be connected together with many numbers of devices by wireless which will bring the life to live. This paper reviews how innovation has happened from different generation like 1G, 2G, 3G, 4G and now 5G. Also, this paper focuses on how 5G network provides proper broadband wireless connectivity which is from all the preceding generations of mobile communication. Some of the technology is listed like Cloud Computing, wwww (World Wide Wireless Web) and etc. and it shows that 5G is advanced in technology wise than its previous generation. By using all this technology mobile will be light weight than its previous generation.
Introduction
In today’s life, mobile became the third hand of human, in early days landline phone which was connected by wire network. Later the phone changed the size to small i.e., cellular phone which is connected by wireless network. Cellular phones had a rapid evolution from one generation to 1G, 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G and soon. This generation has been in innovation since 1980. The first generation (1G) of wireless telecommunication technology used analog transmission techniques that were originally used to transmit voice signals. The second generation (2G) makes more advances than 1G resulting in digital voice data and emits less radio power from the handset. The third generation (3G) provides multimedia services that add high-speed data transfer to mobile devices. The Worldwide Web (WWW) became the primary communication interface, which serves the various needs of human beings at their ends through web browsers. 4G [Fourth Generation] Mobile IRE 1700624 communication can provide a 10-fold increase in data transfer over 3G.
The Worldwide Web (WWW) became the primary communication interface, which serves the various needs of human beings at their ends through web browsers. The fourth generation (4G) mobile communication can provide a 10 times increase in data transfer over 3G. 5G will be in advances with Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) technology, which uses multiple small antenna to serve each individual data stream. 5G will use much more advanced technology to differ from the previous generation. In 5G technology we will use many advanced technology to connect the device with high spectrum to speed up data transfer without any loss while covering long distances. 5G technology will reduce the time in receiving data from the antenna using powerful devices. Larger phone memory, more dialing speed, more clarity in audio and video will be provided in 5G. We will use cloud computing in 5G technology which make life in live is the great feature of the development of this technology.
Internet Growth in World Wide
Internet is defined as the worldwide interconnection of individual networks operated by government, industry, academic and research center. Internet has made the distance short and the world small. About 40% of the world’s population has an internet connection today. The first billion was reached in 2005. The second billion in 2010. The third billion in 2014 and it will keep growing in the growth of the internet. The top most country in internet users will be China with 478.51 (53%), the second country will be USA with 201.6 (22%), the third will be India with 81.79 (9%), the fourth country will be Japan with 73.66 (8%) and the last country will be Russia with 68.12 (8%). About 2 billion of them will be in the developing world. The amount of mobile internet users worldwide will amount to about 788.32 million subscribers at the end of 2015. Internet users will be more from developing countries worldwide. Mobile internet usage is going to exceed desktop internet usage because it is compact and speed available in mobile internet like 3G and 4G.
Development
Paragraph Mobile communication is becoming more powerful technology in the past few years which brings human into innovative and creates a fashion. Innovation starts from generation like 1G, 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G.
A) 1G Technology:
Since 1980, 1G was joined the innovation of cellular phone in some part of the world. It was developed under the condition of analog system by using frequency modulation technology for transmission using Advanced Mobile Phone Service (AMPS) and Frequency Division Multiple Access (FDMA). The channel capacity will be 30 kHz and its speed will be up to 2.4kbps.data transmission was done using packet-switched network between the wire part of the connection and PSTN (Packet Switched Telephone Network). Voice link using analog radio signals has poor capacity and no security.
B) 2G Technology:
Since 1990, 2G emerged using some advance technology to surpass the first generation. Cellular phones have games that make the person to convert to the next generation (i.e., 2G). 2G offers CDMA (Code Split Multiple Access) giving each call a unique code and spreading it over the available frequencies. 2G networks were the first to offer data services and SMS text messaging, but their data transfer rates are lower than their successors. The capacities in India are GSM 900, GSM 1800. The signals were transmitted in digital format and this dramatically improved the quality of calls and also reduced the complexity of data transmission.
C. 3G Technology:
In 1998, there was innovation of 3G which surpassed some of the responsiveness of 2G networks. New feature in 3G network where was introduced like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi to share data between two devices (mobile, laptop and etc.). New technology is used to send data through packet switching. It enhances the clarity of voice and the transfer of data is enhanced in 2100MHz, using this we use mobile TV and we had access to high speed internet services. The speed of data transmission on 3G network ranges between 384kbps to 2Mbps. High Speed Packet Access (HSPA) is an amalgamation of two mobile telephony protocols, High Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA) and High Speed Uplink Packet Access (HSUPA), which enhances and improves the performance of existing 3rd generation mobile telecommunication networks using WCDMA protocol.
D. 4G Technology:
In 2008, the advanced in network communication came in the form of 4G/LTE (Long Term Evolution). LTE-A will provide high speed data transfer where download speed will be up to 1Gbps and upload will go up to 500Mbps (to your office or home). 4G will have better coverage where no network has provided before. If you like to surf the web and especially stream videos, 4G can be heaven. If you connect a laptop to your mobile link, 4G makes a huge difference. 4G will have tight network security and ultra wide band technology.
E. Limitation of 4G:
4G has many advantages even though it had some basic problems. It has to overcome the quality of service problem like IP and video streaming. It has to face security threats like IP spoofing, intrusion attacks which will lead to disappearance of information. Handover is the type of switching of mobile nodes from one access place to another current network. Handover will make the mobile user unhappy while WLAN has communication disturbance in GPRS. These are some of the disadvantages that can arise in 4G technology. Ultra Wide Band technology.
F. 5G is needed:
5G is not only for human to human communication and also for communication between human to things invented as “Internet of Things (IoT)”. Thousands of millions of machines will be collecting, processing and transmitting information without human control. 5G will make everything smart like cars, homes and people. 5G want to provide low latency that will allow remote control of robots doing dangerous work in manufacturing and maintenance. Currently in industrial processes, machines and sensors are connected by wire line, but in future these methods can be replaced by flexible and reliable wireless technology. This will be the beginning for user to mobile machine type communication.
