1. Central government approves military purchases worth Rs 54 thousand crores
India has taken two big decisions on Thursday, March 20, to increase the defense capacity of the army. In this, the central government has approved the purchase of 307 advanced cannons (ATAGS) at a cost of Rs 7,000 crore, which will be deployed on the Pakistan and China border. Also, the Defense Ministry gave the green signal to military purchases worth Rs 54,000 crores. This includes Airborne Early Warning System, new engines for T-90 tanks and Varunastra torpedoes for the Navy.
2. US President Donald Trump ordered to close the Department of Education
US President Donald Trump signed an executive order on Thursday, March 20, to close the Department of Education. After signing, Trump said that America has not been providing good education to the students for a long time. According to White House data, the department has failed to improve education despite heavy expenditure in the last 40 years. Since 1979, the US Department of Education has spent more than $ 3 trillion (about Rs 259 lakh crore). From now on, the Department of Education will not have authority over it, but the states and local communities will get its responsibility.

1. Applications for recruitment to 53,749 posts in Rajasthan start from today
Rajasthan Staff Selection Board has released the revised notification of Class IV employee recruitment 2024. Under this, recruitment will be done on 53,749 posts. However, earlier 52,453 posts were to be filled for this recruitment.
Out of these, 48,199 posts are reserved for Non-TSP and 5,550 posts for TSP areas. Candidates can apply by visiting the official website of Rajasthan Staff Selection Commission rsmssb.rajasthan.gov.in. Applications for this recruitment are starting from today i.e. 21st March.
Educational Qualification:
- 10th pass.
- Age Limit: 18 – 40 years
- Age will be counted as on 1 January 2025.
- Age relaxation will be given to reserved category candidates as per rules.
- Fees: General, Creamy Layer Category Other Backward Classes/Extremely Backward Classes: Rs 600
- Backward Classes/Extremely Backward Classes, Economically Weaker Sections of Rajasthan Non-Creamy Layer Category: Rs 400

2. Application date extended for recruitment to 400 posts in Bank of India
Recruitment has come out for 400 posts of apprenticeship in Bank of India. The last date of application for this recruitment has been extended. Candidates can apply by visiting the official website of the bank bfsissc.com/boi.php till 28 March 2025. Earlier, the last date of application was fixed as 15 March.

1. Bihar Public Service Commission released 2025 exam calendar
BPSC i.e. Bihar Public Service Commission has released the 2025 exam calendar. Candidates can view and download the exam calendar from the official x handle of the commission. However, the dates released by the commission are tentative. The schedule includes many posts like Integrated CCE 70th, Assistant Professor (Physics), Assistant Curator/Research and Publication Officer.
BPSC prelims exams for Integrated CCE 70th were conducted on 13 December 2024 and 4 January 2025, the results of which were declared on 23 January 2025. Now the Integrated CCE 70th Mains exam will be held between 25-30 April. The Assistant Section Officer exam will be held on 13 July 2025. The commission has not yet announced the date for many posts. The dates will be released soon. The commission has advised the candidates to keep checking the official website bpsc.bihar.gov.in.
2.Karnataka government will start sex education in schools from 8th to 12th
The Karnataka government is going to start sex education for students from 8th to 12th class. School Education and Literacy Minister Madhu Bangarappa said – The aim of this initiative is to give education to teenagers related to physical, emotional and hormonal changes during teenage.
These programs will be conducted by medical professionals twice a week and will include periodic medical checkups and consultant sessions twice a year. In this, the medical center will tell the students about hygiene and the dangers of drug abuse. Apart from sex education, the government is planning to start cyber hygiene classes to deal with concerns related to digital addiction, premature sex activity and pregnancy at an early age.
